How can I get in touch?
By using the Contact Page.
How is tuition delivered?
Exclusively online, using Zoom and a shared whiteboard.
Are you a qualified teacher?
Yes - I hold QTS and have PGDip in Secondary MFL accredited by Edge Hill University.
Are you DBS-checked?
Yes - a hold a valid DBS certificate which is on the Update Service.
Do you only offer term-time lessons?
I think students benefit most when engaging in weekly tuition. However, this is not always possible, so I also offer holiday booster lessons during each school holiday period.
Do you offer fortnightly lessons?
Where my schedule allows, yes.
How long is each lesson?
Generally lessons last one hour, although I do offer 45 minutes for younger students in KS3.
When do you teach?
Monday 15.45-20.30
Tuesday-Friday 17.00-20.30
Saturday 10.00-18.00
During mock and exam season in Year 11 I occasionally work on Sundays to facilitate extra revision/exam support.
Do you set homework?
Yes, but only at the request of the parent/carer or student. The homework is then reviewed at the start of the next lesson.
Do you teach exclusively in the target language?
No - I predominantly use English (I think grammar is hard enough!) but will also use instructions in the target language to get students used to exam rubrics.
Do you charge for cancellations?
I offer one free cancellation per term with 48 hours notice. Where needed, further lessons can also be rearranged, but only as my schedule allows.
How can I make payment?
By bank transfer on the day of the lesson or monthly in advance. Bank details available on request. You can also pay by debit/credit card through the website, but there will be a surcharge.
Do you offer group tuition?
No, I exclusively offer 1:1 tuition. I do have some excellent recommendations, however, of group tuition is more suited to your child's needs.
